Ever since I saw Carmen Cass wearing the most sensational apricot ostrich feather kimono at the Chanel Spring/Summer 2011 show in Paris I have needed an ostrich feather coat in my life.  Amazingly within weeks I met Liz.  With one of the best designer vintage collections I have ever seen – think Gucci, Chanel, Lanvin & friends – Liz is the ultimate queen of vintage.  A regular fixture at the Bondi Markets in Sydney, people travel from all over the country to purchase pieces from her dazzling archive.  Obviously wanting absolutely everything I suddenly noticed her rack of specially made ostrich feather pieces!  Vests and jackets in assorted colours.. to say I was excited is an understatement.  Apparently Liz had never seen anyone have the kind of reaction I did, so I wish she could have seen my face (and the slight hysteria) when this arrived on my doorstep a few days ago.  I have never owned anything more beautiful, I can’t even begin to describe the softness of the feathers or how perfectly they move in the wind.  So if you want one for yourself (trust me you do) you can email Liz at pixiebuzz@hotmail.com and place an order for the ‘LOVE STORY ostrich feather’ coat in your fave colour – mine is blush.  Just be warned, random people will feel compelled to have a feel.. of the coat I mean.
